Doing regular exercise will help in enduring the labor pain to some extent. Exercise will help in maintaining the posture and reduce the lower back pain that most pregnant women have. The ideal time for exercise is around 20 to 30 minutes as to how much your body can take in.
Whatever exercise you take up you should note that it is not stressful to you in any way. For people who are used to working out in fitness centers you may have to try different exercises during your pregnancy. It should be moderate and it should not cause any injury to your abdominal region. So it is advisable to avoid contact sports. Anything to do with bouncing, jumping or any diving must be avoided. It is fine to try swimming, jogging or the all time favorite walking. Even a good stretching is good for your body. Try out aerobics or pre- natal yoga whichever suits you better. Dancing has also been advocated as a pregnancy exercise. You can also go to gym for women that have special time allotted for pregnant ladies. But if you are someone who has some complications associated with pregnancy then do not go for any exercises. For example if you have some asthma or heart disease then do not go for any strenuous exercise. Along with the exercise it is important to take your medications also that are prescribed by your doctor that is important for the baby’s proper growth.
